AlphaLayer Adds Investment Industry Veteran Peter Pontikes as Strategic Advisor

AlphaLayer announced that it has added Peter Pontikes as a strategic advisor to its team. With more than 30 years of experience in the investment industry, Pontikes will provide guidance on developing impactful investment strategies and share his expertise on deploying capital and managing a team of researchers.

Pontikes is currently the Managing Partner of Nomisma, where he provides investment consulting services to family offices, foundations, and endowments. The company helps clients achieve their return objectives by applying a disciplined approach to governance, risk management, and portfolio construction.

Prior to joining Nomisma, Pontikes served as Executive Vice President, Public Equities at AIMCo, where he led a team of investment professionals responsible for the internal and external management, research, and trading of over $40 billion in global equity investments. Pontikes has also held the position of Portfolio Manager at Barclays Global Investors and was a board member of the TMX Group.
